Easter Egg Hunt

Jack did his first easter egg hunt with Papa and Nana K and Mimi over in their neighborhood. At first he was a little nervous when the rush of people took off after the eggs, but then he was cool with it and starting getting into the action.

Art Project

Heather put together Jack's first art project. She says "craft", I say "art". Let's call the whole thing off. Anyway, she cut up a bunch of leftover streamers and tissue paper we had into little squares, then had me draw a big egg on three sheets of card stock. Then she put glue all over the eggs and gave the little squares to Jack so he could put them on the glue and decorate his eggs. At first, he was fairly reluctant to participate. I don't he saw the validity of the exercise, but after a bit, he really got into. Check out the intense concentration on the artist's face and he challenges your preconceptions of what egg art can be. He makes Jackson Pollack look like that elephant that paints over in India.

I'll try to post some photos of his easter egg hunt in the next day or so.

Hanging with Papa

Happy belated St. Patricks Day!

Croc Hunter Jack

Jack was very much in croc hunting mode with his safari-like threads. Here he is ready for action.

He and his Kirby Dog looked for crocs all day, but eventually they gave up and retired to the living room for some TV viewing...
Since he was so disappointed, he took him out to this reptile sanctuary in Watauga and they let him have a go at one...

Creating, Cruising and Charming

The Bear woke up early the other day, around 6:00 and was super cranky about it. While Heather got ready and I ate breakfast standing up and watching him, Jack calmed himself by building this stupendous, yet precarious, Mega Block tower. I think even eclipses that one in Dubai. And no one is willing to sign a lease for an apartment in this one either...

Showing off the dimples (and chompers) with Mommy in the front yard..

Feeling Better

The boy seems to be feeling a lot better these days. His nose is still running a little bit though. Heather is feeling better too. I got it for a couple of days but thankfully it passed. His climbing has reach a new level, literally. We climbs on the coffee table and today he climbed up into one fo the breakfast nook chairs. Aye aye aye. We bought him a few new things to wear for spring and summer and some new cheap bath toys that he loves. Didn't take any good photos or videos this weekend. But we did snap this shot of him in his space pjs. We figure he'll outgrow them soon.
