Double Digits!

I know it seems like we say this every time, but it's hard to believe he's this old. He'll be a year before we know it. And then out into the workforce!

Loves Him Some Momma!

Joe Cool

...back in school, hangin' round the water fountain, playin' the fool.

Will anyone get that reference? I bet Blake will.

I'm Worried About The Beaver

Apparently, either late at night or even during the day when we aren't looking, a beaver sneaks into Jack's room. Now, we've never seen it, so we can't be sure. But you decide for yourself. Take a look at the amazingly strong evidence that we present here today. This is a photo of a rail on Jack's crib. Clearly a beaver has been chewing on it. I just hope Jack doesn't get any rodent germs because that the exact same spot where he puts his mouth whenever he's standing in his crib. What are the odds? Some folks call that a co-winky-dink.

Bin up to no good.

Jack has gotten really interested in these bins we have in the entryway table. Heather used to keep her exotic knife collection in one and I had my antique bottles of rat poison and arsenic in the other. Glad we took them out. Oh, maybe we should empty out that third one...

Pasta!

This is a big one people. It's freakin' pasta! My boy is all "growsed up". He's no longer a baby. He's downing noodles over here.

Cute Photos

Here are a couple of good shots Heather got the other day.

Peaches and First Words

Today Jack got to sample some peaches and really seemed to like them. As you can see by the big smile on his face. If you look at the close up, you can see his top left tooth peeking out at you.

Also, we think he said his first word. "Dada". He had said "Hey dada" once but we thought it might be a fluke. But when I got home from work the other day, he was gabbing away until he saw me. He stopped and said "dada" in this sort of matter-of-fact way. As if to announce who I was. Both of our jaws dropped. And then someone (I think Heather) said, "Holy crap." Now, when he said "dada", I thought he was talking about me but it turns out he was talking about the the European movement of art and literature from the early 20th century. Oh well, close enough.

Drawers, Yankees and Tickling

Well, Jack and I are both sick. I think I got it from him. Both of us have chest congestion and coughs, but he also has a runny nose. I'll be glad when we're both back to normal. Here are a few new things. The first photo is one of his latest obsessions when he's driving the Mach 5 around... opening up the entryway drawers. Luckily, they can't come all the way out. Then, a shot of him sporting a really sweet cap. And lastly, a video in which you should be able to hear his little chest congestion, poor boy.
