Here are some pictures from our 20 week sonogram. This was the appointment when we found out that baby is a boy! Some of these images didn't come out great, but the video is pretty amazing. It's really incredible to see how much he has grown since our last sonogram at 10 1/2 weeks. The doctors says everything is looking good and Jack is measuring right on track for his growth. Right now, he weighs about 3/4 of a pound!
Yeah! We made it to 20 weeks and found out (with 99.999% certainty) that we are having a baby boy! We had already decided that we loved Jack for a boy's name. Cal and I are so excited and decided to go straight out shopping to get little Jack's wardrobe started! Here are some of the things we found.
I absolutely love the outfit in the first picture. It is a fall-themed chipmunk footed-onesie with a matching reversible blanket. We are hoping the sizing will be right for baby Jack to wear up to Missouri for our Thanksgiving trip!
The second picture was a collection of onesies and such that we just could not resist! It is a "when in Rome" theme and since we just got back from our Italy trip in October, we loved that it has pictures of the Spanish Steps, Colosseum, gelaterias, etc.
Our first two big items! With all of the things needed for baby Slayton, Cal and I decided to try to do some research and narrow down the stroller and furniture options before we found out if we were having a boy or a girl.
We really liked the Chicco travel system and thought it would work for a boy or a girl. We got that as a gift from Grandma and Papa Slayton (thanks again you guys!). It is already put together and hanging out in Baby's room. Soon, we'll start taking it for walks with Kirby so he can get used to it. Cal says we can put one of the cats in there!
We also decided on the furniture for the nursery. We love this collection by Munire. We have ordered it and it should arrive mid to late May. I'm hoping that gives us some time to get the room cleared out and possibly paint!
Cal and I found out that I am pregnant on New Year's Eve! Here are pictures of the sonogram done at 10 1/2 weeks. We actually had an earlier sonogram done at 7 weeks, but there wasn't too much to show there! Everything is looking good and the doctor says we should hear the heartbeat at the next appointment.
